Living in Dubai and the UAE is much easier when you have the right apps on your phone. From renewing your Emirates ID to paying your electricity bill and booking a taxi, almost everything can be done digitally. Whether you have just moved to Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Sharjah, or you have lived in the UAE for years, these are the must-have apps for UAE residents in 2026.
Government and ID Apps
1. UAE PASS
UAE PASS is the national digital identity of the UAE. It lets you log in to hundreds of government and semi-government services with one secure account, sign documents digitally and store official documents. Many other apps on this list – including telecom apps – ask you to log in with UAE PASS, so install this one first.
2. MOI UAE (Ministry of Interior)
The MOI UAE app gives access to police and traffic services across the country, including traffic fines and the eCrime reporting service for online fraud.
3. ICP (Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security)
Use the ICP app for Emirates ID and residency-related services, such as checking application status and renewing documents (services differ by emirate).
4. DubaiNow
DubaiNow brings many Dubai government services into one app – you can pay bills, check and pay fines, renew services and more.
5. Dubai Police
The Dubai Police app lets you report incidents, pay fines, use the eCrime service and get emergency information. Abu Dhabi residents can use Abu Dhabi Police services such as Aman.
6. My Safe Society
Created by the UAE Public Prosecution, My Safe Society lets you report crimes and suspicious activity, including online scams, and attach photos, videos or links.
Transport Apps
7. RTA Dubai
The RTA Dubai app covers Dubai Metro and bus journey planning, Salik and parking services, vehicle and driving licence services, and more.
8. Nol Pay
Nol Pay lets you top up and manage your Nol card from your phone, so you don’t have to queue at Metro stations.
9. Careem
Careem started in the region as a ride-hailing app and is now a “super app” with rides, food delivery, groceries and payments. Uber is also widely used in the UAE.
Bills and Utilities
10. DEWA
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority’s app lets you pay bills, track consumption and request services like move-in or move-out. Other emirates have their own utility apps, such as TAQA services in Abu Dhabi and SEWA in Sharjah.
11. e& UAE / du
Your telecom app lets you pay bills, recharge, buy data packages and even switch to eSIM. See our guide on how to activate eSIM in UAE and Saudi Arabia.

One of the most popular food and grocery delivery apps across the UAE.
13. Noon and Amazon.ae
The two biggest online shopping platforms for electronics, home items and daily needs, with fast delivery in most areas.
